Caerphilly Council profits £1.1 million from Cwm Ifor solar farm sale
Caerphilly Council reported a £1.1 million profit after selling the 20‑megawatt Cwm Ifor Solar Farm to Fuse Energy. The council said the project, which will be connected to the grid in December, can generate enough electricity to power about 6,000 homes. It also disclosed that it received nearly £2.7 million from the buyer, after spending more than £1.3 million on development and incurring £168,000 of sale‑related costs.
