Welsh rock singer Bonnie Tyler dies at 75 in Portugal

British vocalist Bonnie Tyler, known for hits such as “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” died unexpectedly at age 75 in a Faro hospital in Portugal. After a serious bowel operation and a period in an induced coma in May, she suffered a cardiac arrest.

Her family announced that Tyler will be laid to rest on 17 August at Swansea Minster (St Mary's Church) in Wales. A procession will travel through Skewen before a private service for close relatives. Fans may gather along Newton Road in Mumbles to pay their respects, and the family has asked for donations to the Noah's Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and Cerebral Palsy Cymru instead of flowers.
