WELT launches new youth-focused talk format ‘WELT TALK SPEZIAL YOUNG’

The news channel WELT is launching a new television talk format titled ‘WELT TALK SPEZIAL YOUNG’. The program features five trainees from the Axel Springer Academy, representing newsrooms including WELT, BILD, and Business Insider Deutschland, to discuss current events from a younger generation's perspective.

The inaugural broadcast, scheduled for Friday, September 18, will focus on the upcoming state elections in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Discussion topics are expected to include housing rents, crime, antisemitism, and the voting behavior of the U18 generation. The show will be moderated by Marie Droste.
