Wemade to launch Web3 version of Hellsquad Rrrush! in 170+ countries

South Korean gaming company Wemade has announced the global pre-registration for the Web3 version of its roguelike tower-defense game, ‘Hellsquad Rrrush!: Stone Rush’. The official launch is scheduled for September 2026 and will be available in more than 170 countries via the WEMIX PLAY platform.

Developed by LightCon, a subsidiary of the Wemade group, the new version integrates blockchain technology into the existing mobile game. This update introduces blockchain-based assets, token rewards, and an expanded in-game economy. Pre-registration, which began on August 27, offers participants opportunities to earn AMBER and PLAY tokens through various missions and referral programs.

This release follows a period of technical recovery for Wemade. After a security incident in July involving the unauthorized issuance of approximately 5.2 million WEMIX$ stablecoins, the company implemented protective measures and restored all WEMIX PLAY related services by August 18.
