Wendy Williams' camp disputes knowledge of Peacock documentary

A dispute has emerged between talk show host Wendy Williams and her former executive producer, Suzanne Bass, regarding a forthcoming three-part Peacock docuseries titled ‘Clap If You Care.’

Williams’ attorney, Joe Tacopina, claims the host was blindsided by the announcement and had no prior knowledge of the specific project. Tacopina stated that while Bass had previously made vague inquiries about Williams’ interest in press regarding her life, there was never a discussion about a documentary. He noted that Williams has not spoken to Bass in months.

Conversely, a source close to Bass asserts that Williams was fully aware of the project. The source claims Bass informed Williams about the documentary ‘twice’ during dinners where they discussed various media projects, including podcasts and talking panels. This conflicting testimony follows reports from Charlamagne tha God, who declined to participate in the series because Williams was reportedly not involved in its creation.
