Wendy’s franchise in Oklahoma revives nine-patty T-Rex Burger

A Wendy’s franchise in Edmond, Oklahoma, has introduced the T-Rex Burger, a massive nine-patty, nine-slice-of-cheese burger. The item is being offered as an eating challenge for $29.99, which includes fries, a drink, and an “I Survived the T-Rex Burger” T-shirt. Customers who finish the burger inside the restaurant within nine minutes can receive a mystery prize.

The burger is based on a long-standing internet legend stemming from a fictional Sports Illustrated advertisement in the mid-2000s. While the item was previously offered by a franchise in Brandon, Manitoba, in 2013, it was reportedly discontinued after going viral. This current offering is limited to the single Oklahoma location and has not been announced as a national relaunch by Wendy’s corporate.
