Wendy's Highlights: Chocolate Frosty Recipe and Square Burger Design

Wendy's Frosty, the chain’s iconic frozen dessert, combines milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, sugar, a small amount of cornstarch (or powdered milk) and ice to achieve its distinctive creamy‑yet‑slightly icy texture. The recipe aims to replicate the original product’s balance of chocolate flavor and smooth consistency for home preparation.

Wendy's square burger patties were introduced by founder Dave Thomas to let customers visibly see the beef. The square shape prevents the patty from shrinking inside a round bun, offering a perception of larger portions and reinforcing the brand’s “Where’s the beef?” promise of value and quality.

Both features— the Frosty’s unique composition and the square patty design—are part of Wendy's long‑standing brand identity that differentiates it within the fast‑food market.
