Wentworth Falls fire authorities begin hazard reduction burn

Fire authorities are conducting a one-hectare hazard reduction burn near Darwin Avenue in Wentworth Falls. The operation, led by the NSW Rural Fire Service in collaboration with Fire & Rescue NSW and the Blue Mountains Bush Fire Management Committee, is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, September 18, weather permitting.

Residents are advised to close doors and windows to minimize smoke exposure and to bring outdoor furniture or laundry inside. Individuals with respiratory conditions, such as asthma, are encouraged to stay indoors and keep medication accessible.
