WePlay Expo JAPAN 2027 to debut at Makuhari Messe

WePlay Expo JAPAN 2027 is scheduled to take place from April 2 to April 4, 2027, at Makuhari Messe in Japan. Organized by an executive committee formed by IID Inc. and Sanei Co., Ltd., the event marks the first Japanese expansion of the WePlay Expo, a major gaming festival that has been held annually in Shanghai since 2017.

The China indie Game Alliance (CiGA) will participate as a licensor and producer, bringing expertise in organizing events focused on hands-on play and community interaction. The expo aims to showcase a wide range of titles, from AAA games to indie productions, across PC, console, and mobile platforms.

The three-day event will include a dedicated business day on April 2 for developers, publishers, investors, and media, followed by public days on April 3 and 4. Planned activities include exhibition booths, play areas, gaming hardware displays, merchandise sales, developer talks, and community-focused stage events.
