Werder Bremen goalkeeper Karl Hein expected fit for Dortmund match

Werder Bremen goalkeeper Karl Hein is expected to be fit for the upcoming Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund following a thigh bruise sustained during international duty with Estonia. Trainer Daniel Thioune indicated that Hein completed individual training successfully and is likely to start.

If Hein is unable to play, Austrian national goalkeeper Alexander Schlager is prepared to make his Bundesliga debut. Werder Bremen professional football director Peter Niemeyer noted that Schlager is a capable replacement who has performed well recently.

Despite the positive news regarding their goalkeeper, Werder Bremen faces significant squad shortages. The team will be without eight players, including Senne Lynen, Justin Njinmah, Skelly Alvero, Jens Stage, Salim Musah, Keke Topp, Felix Agu, and Moussa Ndiaye.
