Wesbank shooting in South Africa kills two, wounds seven

In the early hours of 12 July 2026, police responded to reports of gunfire on Godetia Street in Wesbank, near Malmesbury, Western Cape. Officers found two victims dead – a 22‑year‑old man and a 21‑year‑old woman – and six adults plus an infant wounded.
