Wesley Sneijder reflects on Inter Milan treble and Mourinho

During the Trento Sport Festival, former Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder reflected on his career, specifically his successful tenure at Inter Milan. He credited José Mourinho for the club’s historic treble, noting that Mourinho identified him as the “missing link” needed to win everything.

Sneijder shared anecdotes about the 2010 squad, describing the locker room as a winning group of “madmen” and praising Javier Zanetti’s professionalism. He also discussed his long-standing relationship with former teammate Cristian Chivu, whom he praised for his current coaching role at Inter, noting that Chivu has shown significant growth and grit in managing the team through difficult periods.

Additionally, Sneijder touched upon his early years at Ajax and his observations on current football figures, including Mourinho’s pressure at Real Madrid and Xavi’s tactical approach with the Dutch national team.
