West Achaia concludes summer cultural program with 65 events

The Municipality of West Achaia has concluded its cultural summer program, which featured 65 diverse events and activities distributed across nearly all municipal communities. A central strategy of the initiative was decentralization, ensuring that cultural activities reached smaller communities rather than being concentrated solely in Lower Achaia.

The program included four theatrical performances and 19 shadow theater (Karagiozis) shows, which were particularly popular among children and families. Additionally, 12 outdoor cinema screenings were held at various locations throughout the municipality. The schedule was further rounded out by 30 other events, including folk and community nights, music and dance performances, local festivals, and concerts.

Mayor Grigoris Alexopoulos emphasized the importance of bringing culture to every corner of the municipality, noting the joy and entertainment shared by residents of all ages. Deputy Mayor of Culture and Tourism, Ilias Kamperos, also highlighted the collaboration with local communities, cultural associations, and various organizations that made the program possible.
