West African airlines launch new international and regional routes

Air Sierra Leone announced that its London‑Freetown and London‑Banjul services will resume at the end of October 2026 after receiving approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. The airline said ticket sales are now open and the restart follows a temporary suspension earlier in the year.

Air Peace began operating a Lagos‑Conakry‑Bamako route on 1 August 2026, with the inaugural flight departing from Lagos. Nigerian, Guinean and Malian officials highlighted the new service as a boost to trade, tourism and regional integration, linking Nigeria’s commercial hub with neighboring capitals and expanding the airline’s African network.
