West Bank construction costs show mixed trends in September 2026

Data from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics reveals varying trends in construction and infrastructure costs across the West Bank for September 2026.

Residential building costs saw a slight decrease of 0.02%, dropping to an index of 120.74. This decline was driven by a 0.59% reduction in equipment rental costs and a 0.04% dip in raw materials, which offset a 0.25% increase in labor wages.

In contrast, costs for skeleton buildings (structural frames) rose by 0.31%, reaching an index of 118.87. Non-residential building costs and road construction costs remained stable during the same period. While road construction costs held steady, specific sub-sectors within that category saw decreases in labor and equipment maintenance costs, despite slight increases in raw material prices.
