West Bank death toll reaches 100 since start of year
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the death toll in the West Bank has reached 100 since the beginning of 2026. This follows the deaths of four individuals during the previous 24-hour period due to actions by Israeli forces and settlers in the governorates of Qalqilya, Nablus, and Tulkarm.
In Nablus, one individual died from injuries sustained during military operations, while another was killed during a confrontation after forces surrounded a home. In Qalqilya, a young man died from a gunshot wound to the head during a settler attack on the village of Hajja, an incident that also left three others, including a child, injured. In Tulkarm, the body of a worker was recovered following a military raid.
The reports highlight an escalation in both daily military incursions and settler violence across the West Bank, including stone-throwing, arson, and the destruction of agricultural property. These incidents occur alongside widespread arrest campaigns and raids in several cities and refugee camps.
