West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari meets Indian Union Ministers to boost development

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari held a series of meetings with Union ministers in New Delhi, including Health Minister JP Nadda, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Youth & Sports Minister Mansukh Mandviya. The talks focused on accelerating the state’s development agenda in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the National Health Authority to bring West Bengal into the Ayushman Bharat PM‑JAY cashless health scheme, extending top‑tier coverage to every eligible family. The Chief Minister also discussed the upcoming Vikshit Bharat – G Ram Yojana for rural employment and secured commitments for immediate fund approvals.

Finance discussions centred on expanding credit availability and reviving flagship schemes such as PM MUDRA, Jan Dhan, PM JJBY, PM SBIY, PM SVANidhi and the Atal Pension Yojana, with plans for round‑table meetings involving public‑sector banks, MSME associations and industry bodies across all regions of West Bengal. Youth and sports development was also highlighted, with promises of enhanced infrastructure and platforms for talented youngsters.
