West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh Criticizes TMC as Party Faces Corruption Arrest

In a related development, TMC councillor Kanailal Das was arrested by West Bengal police on corruption‑related charges after searches of his rented property uncovered large quantities of school uniforms, saris and tarpaulins. Das, a prominent figure in Tamluk municipality, is accused of irregular activities and faces scrutiny over alleged involvement in a recent assault. The arrest is part of a broader crackdown on public representatives suspected of corruption in the state.
