West Bengal TMC rebels list 19 MPs, including Sayani Ghosh, signal possible NDA support

A group of 19 Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs in West Bengal have been identified as rebels allegedly planning to back the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The list includes senior legislators such as Kakoli Ghosh, Jagdish Chandra Basunia, Khalidur Rahman, Yusuf Pathan, Sayani Ghosh and others. Party leaders Kalyan Banerjee and Kirti Azad publicly denounced the rebels, accusing them of ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and abandoning Mamata Banerjee during a crisis.

The rebel bloc reportedly drafted a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker expressing support for the NDA, prompting questions about the authenticity of the document. Sayani Ghosh, once considered a trusted aide of Mamata Banerjee, has formally joined the rebel faction, intensifying political turbulence in the state and raising speculation about potential defections to the BJP.
