West Brom pursues permanent move for Manchester United's Toby Collyer
West Bromwich Albion is in discussions to sign Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer on a permanent deal. The 22-year-old previously spent the first half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at The Hawthorns, though his tenure was cut short by a calf injury.
Manchester United has reportedly informed Collyer that he is free to leave the club to seek regular first-team football. As an academy product, a permanent sale would represent pure profit for United under financial regulations. Following his stint at West Brom, Collyer moved to Hull City on loan, but physical setbacks limited him to five appearances during their promotion campaign.
West Brom’s interest aligns with a recruitment strategy focused on young players with development potential. While Collyer featured in pre-season under Michael Carrick, United appears prepared to facilitate his departure as they evaluate their midfield options.
