West Brom to sign Brayann Pereira from NEC Nijmegen

West Bromwich Albion is set to complete the permanent signing of 23-year-old defender Brayann Pereira from the Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen. The transfer is expected to be finalized on deadline day following a medical examination.

The deal is reported to be worth approximately €1.5 million (£1.28 million). Pereira, a French national who has represented France at the youth level, has been a consistent presence for NEC since joining them in 2023. While primarily a right-back, he has also demonstrated versatility by playing as a wing-back and a right-sided centre-back.

This move provides Championship side West Brom with defensive reinforcement under manager James Morrison. If the transfer is completed in time, Pereira could potentially be available for selection as early as next weekend's match against Watford.
