West Cork couple marries on The Jennifer Hudson Show

Amanda Murnane and Brendan Hayes, a couple from Dunmanway, Co. Cork, have married after 27 years together. The couple had previously delayed marriage plans due to family health challenges, specifically when their eldest daughter, Rene, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011.

To celebrate their long-term relationship, Brendan Hayes contacted producers of The Jennifer Hudson Show to request hair and makeup assistance for Amanda. The producers offered to host the wedding on the program. Brendan surprised Amanda by telling her they had won tickets to a live television recording and a photoshoot in Los Angeles, which allowed him to bring the wedding attire to the studio.
