West Ham United and BrewDog launch fan-created Boleyn Brew

West Ham United and official beer partner BrewDog have launched Boleyn Brew, a 4.5% oat lager developed in collaboration with club supporters. The project is noted as one of the first instances of a beer being created with direct input from fans in club football.

A diverse group of supporters participated in the development process, helping to shape the flavor profile, style, branding, and storytelling. Following fan consultations, supporters voted for the name ‘Boleyn Brew’ to honor the club’s former home, the Boleyn Ground. The lager features notes of tropical fruit and citrus over a smooth, bready base.

Former West Ham United player Carlton Cole assisted in the consultation process, sharing brewing expertise. The beer is scheduled to make its matchday debut at London Stadium during the upcoming fixture against Southampton and is also available for purchase online.
