West Ham United and Hamburg pursue new signings as transfer window heats up
West Ham United have entered advanced talks to sign Senegalese striker Bamba Dieng on a free transfer after his contract with Lorient expires. The club, facing a depleted attacking line following Callum Wilson’s departure and other potential exits, view Dieng – who scored 15 goals in 25 games this season – as a priority target.
In Germany, Hamburger SV are targeting Belgian centre‑back Sebastiaan Bornauw, currently under contract with Leeds United until 2029. Hamburg see the defender, who has over 150 Bundesliga appearances, as a solution to their defensive needs and are considering a loan deal worth around €8 million. Both clubs aim to complete their respective deals in the coming weeks.
