West Ham United eye Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson for Championship promotion push

West Ham United, freshly relegated from the Premier League, have reiterated a long‑term interest in signing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson. The 26‑year‑old forward has twelve months remaining on his contract with Arsenal and is keen to secure regular playing time, preferring to stay in London. Nelson, a product of Arsenal’s academy, has previously featured on loan at Hoffenheim, Fulham, Brentford and other clubs, and despite a recent hamstring injury he brings top‑flight experience that West Ham hope will aid their bid for an immediate return to the Premier League. The Hammers are reported to be considering a transfer fee in the region of £10‑15 million, with other clubs such as Valencia and Benfica also monitoring the player, but West Ham remain the primary suitor.

If the deal proceeds, Nelson would add depth to West Ham’s wing options as manager Nuno Espírito Santo assembles a squad capable of achieving promotion at the first attempt.
