West Ham United eyes promotion push amid international break

West Ham United is navigating a period of transition during the international break, which has seen several players called up to national teams, including Dinos Mavropanos and Manor Solomon. The break presents an opportunity for youth prospects like goalkeeper Lanre Awesu to impress manager Nuno Espirito Santo, as well as fringe players such as Magassa and Alvarez to secure their positions.

In the league standings, West Ham currently occupies eighth place, showing improvement from a nineteenth-place start to the season. While Swansea City holds a superior defensive record, conceding only six goals, analysts suggest West Ham’s offensive depth and attacking talent—including contributions from center-back Konstantinos Mavropanos—provide a significant advantage in the promotion race. The club's ability to utilize high-quality substitutes is noted as a key factor for maintaining momentum throughout the long season.
