West Ham United faces selection dilemmas ahead of QPR match

West Ham United prepares to resume Championship action this Friday against QPR following an international break. The squad faces several selection dilemmas regarding player fitness and fatigue.

Defender Konstantinos Mavropanos faces a workload concern after playing 384 minutes across four international matches for Greece. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo must decide whether to start the defender or utilize 18-year-old Golambeckis to manage his fatigue. Additionally, the club is monitoring injury concerns regarding a £5 million winger.

Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen returns with increased confidence after securing a 1-0 clean sheet for Denmark against Wales, following a difficult recent outing against Portugal.

The match will also serve as an emotional night for the club as they celebrate the life of former goalkeeper Ludo, who recently passed away from cancer.
