West Ham United targets new signings ahead of Championship campaign

West Ham United, recently relegated to the English Championship, is reportedly pursuing several players to strengthen its squad. Club insiders have linked the Hammers with Stoke City winger Sorba Thomas, who was the league’s top creator last season, and left‑back Matt Targett, who impressed with Middlesbrough and contributed four goals and an expected‑assist tally above six.

The club is also said to be interested in 22‑year‑old striker Pape Moussa Fall, who is under contract with French side FC Metz until 2029. Fall spent the previous season on loan at Belgian club RAAL La Louvière, scoring 14 goals in 30 appearances. Despite West Ham’s drop to the second tier, the potential signings are viewed as long‑term investments to bolster the team for the 2026/27 season.
