West Herzegovina Canton and Dr. Viktor Ružić Foundation announce financial support programs

The Ministry of Health, Labor, Family and Social Policy of West Herzegovina Canton has announced a public call to provide financial support for doctors of medicine specializing in family medicine. A total of 320,000 KM has been allocated, to be distributed through eight individual grants of 40,000 KM each. The initiative aims to encourage the development of primary healthcare and increase the number of family medicine practitioners in the region.

Eligible applicants must be doctors employed in health centers within the West Herzegovina Canton who have concluded contracts for specialist training in family medicine for 2026. Selection will be based on years of service, academic averages, and experience in family medicine.

In Croatia, the Dr. Viktor Ružić Foundation has opened a call for scholarships for high school students and university students in the Primorsko-Goranska County. Scholarships will range from 250 EUR for high school students to 350 EUR for students, payable monthly from October 2026 to June 2027. Applicants must meet specific academic criteria, including high grade point averages or ECTS credit thresholds.
