West Herzegovina Canton disburses 853 KM vacation allowance to public sector staff

The government of West Herzegovina Canton approved a decision setting the 2026 vacation allowance (regres) at 853 convertible marks per employee, equal to 50 % of the average net salary reported for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Deputy prime minister and finance minister Blagica Leko explained that the measure follows the legal framework of the Salary Law.

The payment covers 2,556 budget‑funded employees, with a total allocation of 2,147,624.79 KM. The allowance rose from 779 KM the previous year and 669 KM the year before, reflecting the latest statistical data from the Federal Statistical Office.
