West Java and Jakarta launch youth education and welfare initiatives

In West Java and Jakarta, regional authorities and corporate entities are launching initiatives to support youth development and educational access.

PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (PSL) has initiated a drug prevention education program titled ‘Merdeka Tanpa Narkoba’ for students at SMAN 13 and SMAN 80 Jakarta. Conducted in collaboration with the North Jakarta National Narcotics Board (BNN), the program aims to build character and resilience against narcotics abuse among the younger generation.

Simultaneously, the West Java Education Office has introduced the ‘Jabar Sakola’ program to reduce school dropout rates. This initiative provides comprehensive educational assistance through four main schemes targeting high school, vocational, and special education students. To ensure accuracy, the program matches recipient data with the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) to prevent duplication with central government aid such as PIP or PKH.
