West Java officials focus on social impact and housing implementation
West Java officials have emphasized the need for practical impact in both academic and social welfare sectors. During the VII Regional Meeting of KAHMI West Java, Governor Dedi Mulyadi urged academics to ensure their work translates into tangible benefits for society rather than remaining purely theoretical or administrative. He noted that intellectual success should be measured by how much knowledge benefits public life and solves real-world issues.
In a separate development, West Java Provincial Secretary Herman Suryatman addressed the implementation of the national 3 Million Houses Program. He stressed that the program must prioritize citizen welfare through accountable data collection and construction oversight. Suryatman called for professionalism and transparency to ensure the housing project reaches eligible residents, noting that the focus will shift toward implementation in September 2026.
