West Java Police Probe Three-Year Kidnapping of Bandung Woman

The West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) are investigating a case of alleged kidnapping and severe assault involving a 29‑year‑old woman identified only by the initials YTT. The victim disappeared around three years ago and was located in critical condition at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, suffering extensive injuries to her head, face, limbs and loss of vision, speech and mobility.

The case came to light after a family member received an anonymous WhatsApp message directing them to the hospital. Police confirmed they received an official report on 12 June 2026, alleging the man identified as TH was responsible for repeated beatings using fists, blunt objects and a sharp weapon, and that valuable belongings of the victim were also taken. The material loss is estimated at roughly Rp52 million. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to determine the full motive and chronology of the crime.
