West Java prepares 2.4 million tiles for Gentengisasi program

The West Java provincial government is preparing 2.4 million clay tiles produced in Jatiwangi, Majalengka Regency, to support the ‘Gentengisasi’ program initiated by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. The shipment, which is expected to be transported by approximately 600 trucks, is scheduled to begin on November 8, 2026.

Thirty-four micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Majalengka are participating in the initiative. According to Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait, these MSMEs have met Indonesian National Standards (SNI), ensuring the products are high-quality and competitive.

The program aims to expand market access for local producers, increase demand, and stimulate the regional economy by supporting related sectors such as labor and firewood suppliers.
