West Java tourism records Rp4.77 billion in transactions at MATTA Fair
West Java tourism promotion achieved significant economic results at the MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur 2026 held in Malaysia. During the three-day event from September 4 to 6, the province recorded transactions totaling approximately Rp4.77 billion (RM1.10 million).
The achievement was a collaborative effort between the West Java Provincial Tourism and Culture Office, the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office, and various tourism industry players. A total of 94 tour packages, covering 989 passengers, were sold to the Malaysian market.
Iendra Sofyan, Head of the West Java Tourism and Culture Office, stated that the results demonstrate the impact of collaboration between local governments and the tourism industry in penetrating international markets. Moving forward, officials aim to strengthen integrated tour packages to convert promotional efforts into sustained increases in Malaysian tourist arrivals to West Java.
