West Lesvos hosts Mythymna art collection exhibition in Sigri

The art exhibition ‘Small Stations of a History: Selections from the Mythymna Municipal Art Gallery Collection’ has opened in Sigri. Organized by the Municipality of West Lesvos and the Lesvos Fossil Forest Natural History Museum, the event drew over 700 visitors during its first three days of operation.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until the end of September. Museum Director Nikos Zouros highlighted the importance of the display in showcasing the cultural value and history of the Mythymna collection. Mayor Taxiarches Verros noted that the collaboration between the museum and local cultural structures aims to highlight the region's potential and preserve the memory of the gallery, which local authorities intend to restore for the community of Molyvos.

Deputy Mayor of Tourism Aphrodite Vati added that the exhibition serves to reintroduce the Mythymna Municipal Art Gallery to the public, honoring both the artists who created the works and the visionaries who established the cultural space.
