West Midlands letting agent accused of withholding tenant deposits

Amun Singh Judge, operating as Morgan, Payne & Knightly (MPK), has been accused of failing to return tenant deposits and withholding rent payments from landlords in the West Midlands. The total sums owed are reported to be in the hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Investigations suggest more than 100 tenants are awaiting returned deposits, with individual amounts ranging from £700 to £16,000. Some tenants have alleged that deposits were not placed in registered protection schemes. While Sandwell Council stated that MPK is no longer operating in its borough, reports indicate the company continues to operate in other parts of the West Midlands.
