West Seattle hosts various community and cultural events

West Seattle is hosting various community activities and local events throughout the weekend. The Southwest Seattle Historical Society is presenting Washington Museum Day, which includes a preview of the new permanent exhibition, 'Beyond Alki: Stories of West Seattle and the Duwamish Peninsula.'

Recurring local gatherings include the West Seattle Farmers Market and the 'Sundays in the Alley' market, both featuring food, music, and local vendors. Other community offerings include the West Seattle Glass Float Hunt, various running clubs, and the West Seattle Tool Library.

Community services and recreation are also active, including the West Seattle (Admiral) Library undergoing a three-month closure for HVAC work, and the operation of local sprayparks, wading pools, and the Colman Pool.
