West Sumatra forms investigation team over viral civil servant video
The West Sumatra Provincial Government has established an Ad Hoc Examination Team to investigate a viral video allegedly involving civil servants (ASN) engaging in misconduct in a workspace.
Regional Secretary Arry Yuswandi confirmed that the Head of the Bureau of Goods and Services Procurement was identified in the recording and has admitted to his presence in the video. The official has also submitted a resignation from his post.
The investigation team, chaired by the Regional Secretary and including the Inspector and the Head of the BKD, will review all facts to determine appropriate disciplinary actions according to government regulations. The matter has been reported to the Governor of West Sumatra for further direction.
