West Sumatra Governor praises TNI for disaster relief efforts

During the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi Ansharullah praised the military for its role as a primary responder during natural disasters. He noted that the TNI's presence in the field demonstrates a commitment to public service that extends beyond traditional defense duties.

Rear Admiral Sarimpunan Tanjung, acting as the ceremony inspector, emphasized that the bond between the military and the people is central to non-war military operations. He cited the TNI's active involvement in disaster relief in Solok Regency as a practical example of this synergy. The anniversary event included personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Indonesian Cadet Corps, featuring a parade of military equipment.
