West Sumatra Provincial Government appoints 33 officials

The West Sumatra Provincial Government has appointed 33 new officials, including 17 administrators (Echelon III) and 16 supervisors (Echelon IV). The appointments, held at the Gubernuran Auditorium, distribute personnel across 12 regional agencies, including departments for education, health, culture, and public works, as well as the M. Natsir Regional General Hospital.

Regional Secretary Arry Yuswandi emphasized the importance of professionalism, competence, and ethics in the bureaucracy. To strengthen the civil service, the provincial government is implementing a talent management system for structural positions and an innovation assessment policy for functional officials. Under this new internal policy, functional officials seeking promotion to Young Expert or Middle Expert levels must demonstrate innovations within their specific fields of expertise, which will be evaluated by a personnel assessment team.
