West Virginia hosts Oklahoma State in prime-time Big 12 matchup

The West Virginia Mountaineers (3-0) will host the Oklahoma State Cowboys (2-1) in a prime-time Big 12 matchup at Milan Puskar Stadium this Saturday. West Virginia enters the game following an upset victory over Virginia, which has placed them on the verge of returning to the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2018.

Oddsmakers currently view the game as a close contest, with West Virginia listed as a 1.5-point favorite. The Mountaineers are expected to debut a “Gold Rush” uniform theme, featuring blue helmets, gold jerseys, and blue pants, a decision that has sparked debate among fans regarding the amount of gold used in the kit.

Oklahoma State, led by head coach Eric Morris, brings a high-powered offense to Morgantown. The Cowboys' injury report includes updates on offensive guard Joseph Hanson, who is expected to return to the lineup, and tight end Oscar Hammond. Key players to watch include West Virginia quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. and Oklahoma State quarterback Drew Mestemaker.
