West Virginia titleholders to compete in Miss America

Miss West Virginia Elizabeth Romanek and Miss West Virginia's Teen Zoe Little are traveling to Florida to represent the state in the national Miss America competition. Both titleholders were crowned earlier this year in Martinsburg.

Romanek, a 24-year-old West Virginia University alumna from Wheeling, is focusing her efforts on her community service initiative, M.O.V.E. (Motivate, Optimize, Vitalize, Energize Performance), which promotes active and healthy lifestyles. She has also founded the WV Step Club to encourage community walking. For the competition, she will perform a dance to ‘I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.’

Zoe Little, 16, of Huntington, is also preparing for the national stage, with both contestants focusing on interviews and performance talents in the lead-up to the event.
