West Virginia University adds JUCO transfers to football and baseball squads

Safety Tim Roberson, a redshirt junior from Iowa Western Community College who recorded six interceptions last season, has joined the West Virginia University football roster for 2026. Coaches hope his play‑making ability will help improve a defense that has struggled in recent years.

Baseball power hitter Colin Coonradt, who hit 37 home runs at Johnson County Community College, also signed with West Virginia University. Coonradt praised the program’s focus on baseball and aims to help the Mountaineers return to the College World Series, citing new biomechanics resources as a boost for his development.
