West Virginia University football faces pressure under Rich Rodriguez

West Virginia University football head coach Rich Rodriguez is facing scrutiny following a 3-2 start to the season and recent losses to Big 12 opponents. Following a 45-42 loss to Iowa State, Rodriguez addressed the media regarding the state of the program and the performance of the defense.

There is significant focus on the development of the defense under young defensive coordinator Zac Alley. Additionally, the program is managing various player updates, including injury reports for key players and the recent death of football commit Chris Wilson Jr. in a shooting.
