West Virginia University fraternity houses raided in hazing probe

Law enforcement officers served search warrants at two West Virginia University fraternity houses in Morgantown as part of an ongoing investigation into hazing allegations. The raids targeted the Lambda Chi Alpha and Pi Kappa Alpha residences.

Video footage from the scene showed officers removing bags of evidence from the properties while hundreds of students gathered to watch. Lambda Chi Alpha had previously been placed on interim suspension by the university on October 9 following reports of hazing.

The West Virginia University Police Department was assisted by the Morgantown Police Department during the operation. While officers were seen in handcuffs and evidence was seized, authorities have not yet announced any specific arrests or detailed the contents of the seized items.
