West Virginia vehicle accidents result in six fatalities

Two separate fatal vehicle accidents in West Virginia have resulted in the deaths of six people.

In Clay County, a 2008 GMC Acadia veered off the road near the Indore Post Office on Saturday afternoon, striking a parked front-end loader. The crash killed two boys, aged 7 and 13, and left a 14-year-old boy in critical condition. The driver, 34-year-old James Neal II, sustained minor injuries. The family was reportedly traveling home from youth football at the time of the incident.

In Charleston, a pickup truck crashed 42 feet below an elevated interstate at the I-77/64 split on Friday night. Four young men from Raleigh County—James McDaniel, 20, Colten Garcia, 20, Kaden Ashby, 21, and Kaiden Radford, 21—were killed instantly when the vehicle jumped a median wall. Authorities believe the group had recently left a concert. This marks the third accident in that specific interstate area within a single week.
