Mid-Atlantic and Midwest weather: Warm temperatures through Halloween

Unseasonably warm and dry weather is expected to persist across much of the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest through the Halloween holiday. In Maryland, residents can expect sunny skies and mild temperatures, with afternoon highs reaching the 60s and 70s. While a freeze warning and frost advisory affected parts of northern Baltimore County, Frederick, and surrounding areas early Sunday, the region is transitioning to warmer conditions.

In West Virginia, sunny conditions are forecast through Friday, with temperatures potentially rising into the upper 60s or low 70s by the weekend. Similarly, Indiana will experience mild highs in the 70s throughout much of the week.

A shift in weather patterns is anticipated toward the end of the weekend. Rain chances are expected to increase on Sunday, November 1, coinciding with the end of daylight saving time. A stronger weather system may bring more significant rainfall and potential thunderstorms into early next week.
