West Yorkshire Poet Mosood Yusuf Publishes Novella “The Dead Load”

Mosood Yusuf, a poet and emerging author from West Yorkshire, has released his first novella, *The Dead Load*. The work blends poetic storytelling with contemporary fiction to examine whether love can actually save a life. Yusuf drew inspiration from a 2023 construction‑safety training session in Huddersfield, noting, “I live in two worlds – a world of poetry and literature, and a world of buildings and architecture.” The novella asks the reader to imagine families of construction workers receiving their lost loved ones back through love’s power. *The Dead Load* is now available in print and digital formats through major retailers, including Amazon.

Yusuf, already known for his published poetry, plans to follow the novella with a dystopian political novel that will explore corruption in his home country. He continues to work in architectural technology while developing his literary career.
