Westchester Community College stabbing leaves two students hospitalized

A physical brawl involving four individuals broke out on the lawn outside the David Swope Student Center at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, on Wednesday afternoon. The dispute, which involved a mix of current and former students who reportedly knew one another, escalated into a stabbing.

Two students were hospitalized with injuries; one victim sustained a stab wound to the head and required surgery, while the other was stabbed in the back. Although initial reports suggested three people were stabbed, the Westchester County Police Department clarified that a third individual only had blood on their clothing.

Police arrested two suspects at the scene, both of whom were treated for non-stabbing injuries sustained during the fight. Authorities confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the college community, and while the student center was temporarily closed for the investigation, classes continued as scheduled.
